I need help finding the name of a book n the author!!?

Okay so it's been so long since i read the book (about 5-6 years) and well i can only remember little pieces of the book (it might be 2 different books not sure) but one part is the girl lives with her mom n her mom likes to garden n stuff (i think her dad died) n then theres another part where a girl (i think its still the same book) starts to fall for this boy n hes rich n popular (or atleast has money) and he invites her into his room n the talk n stuff, and then theres a part with a pool n swimming.. ahh i can't remember!! im thinking theres a picture of a girl sittin on a porch steps with a long skirt on but im not sure..!
There's a part in it where it talks about (i think its on the porch or outside the house) there's a shelf that her dad had built for her mom before he died that she has her plants on..
 
The swimming pool stuff and the boy's room and him being rich and popular and no father all are scenes from Lock and Key by Sarah Dessen, However, in this book the girl's mother is a degenerate who has abandoned her and she has to live with her sister and brother-in-law, next door to the rich and popular guy with the swimming pool.
 
Try going on a website for books and look that up because if you dont know the author or the title nobody can really help you.sorry.
