I have a 1992 jeep Cherokee, I recently came upon it for a small sum of money (less then $50). It has 397 xxx KM ( This engien is known to go up to 480 xxx Km before needing a rebuild) on the 4.0 liter straight six. Now recently the head gasket blew (as far as i know at least) I deducted this due to the large amount of oil seepage coming from the gap between the head and block. I have a new gasket and some RTV sealant to fix any other potential gasket damage that i am unaware of.
My question is whether or not i should abandon my vehicle, This is my first car and i do love it very much but I don't know if i should spend the time to fix it? what would you do?
