In the case of Mudd an innocent man was probably executed. He likely had little or no pre-knowledge of events and probably didn't even learn of Lincoln's death until after Booth had left.
The others, the evidence was pretty strong that they were heavily involved. Mary Serote (sp) likely had at least some knowledge of what was going on before and clearly protected people after the fact. The rest were guilty, very guilty.
So I'd go strictly with Mudd if you wanted to point out an unfair aspect. If you wanted to go the other way Serote would be the best one to concentrate on and build a case against her.
