I'm 24, considered an independent but I still live in the same home with my parents. I pay rent. On the FAFSA form, I did not include my parents info. However, the NY state aid form ( TAP ) asks all these questions about my parents' income etc. & it also asks if I lived in the same home with them for at least 6 weeks during the year. The answer is obviously, "Yes" but I still pay rent here. I don't see any place to indicate whether I pay rent or not. I'm not sure how to answer these questions? Should I answer "No" ?
