Okay so there is this girl i like that i have known for around 9 years (since primary school/ 1st grade. We are really good friends and we talk loads, she sometimes flirts with me and i flirt back and when we hang out there is no word for it apart from amazing. She is beautiful, funny, good personality and all that i could ever want, and one night when we were talking about what we look for in partners, she pretty much gave a description of me, but she just doesn't know it.Only thing is that she is dating this guy and has been for a while, but keeps on admitting that she 'doesn't love him' and it's 'just for fun' which makes me think that eventually they will split up. Sure her boyfriend is an alright dude and i get along with him...in areas... 
but he keeps on falling out with her and he is generally bad for her. I have told her what i think of him and that he is dragging her down, which if you knew her, you would notice.
I'm thinking about telling her how i feel about her but we've been friends for such a long time i dont know if it will ruin our friendship since we get along so well, and there is also the problem that if i was going to tell her, when, because whenever it seems like she is going to break up with him, she forgives him for one reason or another, and it would be a bad thing to ask while she is dating him, however if i asked after they had fallen out it would seem like taking advantage of her =/
