I would stick with the civic they are known to be reliable and dependable when driving for long periods of time. I know space is limited but engine wise is a piece of work compare to the Jeep Cherokee, Don't sacrifice performance and dependability for space.

Going Jeep is a bad idea most Jeep owners go into the purchase knowing/accepting its going to break down a lot, its Jeeps tradition. NO JOKE. Jeeps just are a nightmare of repairs.
