I want my car to be able to scream. I want it to be able to grab as much attention as possible... but i dont know how to do it!! i just really want my car to sound as close to a race car as possible. I know I will probly have the police trying to cite me for every little thing but I think it will me worth it.
so please help me???
run straight piping all the from the intake manifold to the rear of the car. it will sound more loike a muscle car, its realy loud, you will get attention!!!
Well there are certian aspecs that you have to consider if your going to do this. First of tickets can get expensive and it gets annoying getting pulled over all the time, trust me. Second of if they get you with a fix it ticket life can get expensive to put the parts back on and off. Third some states have laws about tuneing or modifying your car other then stock (even if it means better gas milage). Forth modifying or upgrading or tuning (ect.) does not help you with the value of the car (depending on what car you have and what you do)
Now consider all these fators the easy way to make it sound more manly yes would be to cut of your exhaust pipe right after your sensors or cat. but it usually (depend on car) decreases horse power, or is to loud, or your engine light is on. Also this way you wont pass your exhaust test because your addmiting more into the air. (check your state laws).
The right way to do it and cheap is get a cold or short ram air intake, which usually when u step on the gas you can hear your engine roar a little louder and gives you extra horse power, also if you dont step on it you can see better gas milage (some cars you need to consider dyno tune). If your still not satisfied with it next inexpensive way to do it would be a two step 1.) you can buy a new tip to your exhaust (some sell at auto stores for at least $25 or drill holes at the end of the pipe. 2.) if you want better performance and louder sound get everything from your exhaust header to your muffler replaced from a after market manufacturer (some cars require tunning). This is more expensive but great sound and if your looking for a certian sound low, loud, ect most after market manufactures can guide you to what you looking for. Now if you want to keep going then I have to say save money and a big difference in sound and performance is in the inside of your engine. You can go cheap or spend money. A cheap way is get your engine shiped off to get it bord and polished to either street polish or race. This will give your engine a better sound pistons have less friction in your cylinder walls and you get added performance and sound.
