AND HELP! THANK YOU? We have studied three poems, two being "Mending Wall" and second being "Fire and Ice" by poet, Robert Frost.
Our exam is tomorrow (: 0 ) and this is the question we are to answer:

"'The best poetry explores fundamental questions of existence, depicting the loneliness of the individual with an indifferent universe."

Could someone please help me concerning how I should go about this question. If you need more info, just ask.

All help would be extremely appreciated!
THANK YOU!

Your Lucky that is a very interesting question to do an exam on. I wish my school gave exam questions like this.

I'd advise you to read over the three poems you have studied in class and see if you can relate them to this question.
Poetry is all about deep meaningful stuff, its more on philosophical topics.
In poetry, there is no right or wrong answer to the question. What ever these poems convey to you will be sufficient to talk about. Depending on a good or bad grade you must back up your theory that depicts your ideas and themes you got from the poems.

My advice would be how you personally deal with the subject.
You are in essence alone in the universe.
You can spend time with others, but they will never fully understand what is like to actually be you.
Poets attempt to create art that express this, to share themselves more fully.
What creative outlet do you have that lets you express your individuality?
