How about a trip through time with photos taken at an antique store of various different gadgets.
Perhaps time is an age factor where you photograph a grandparent with a child or the photo of the child's hand in a grandparent's weathered old hand or sweet checks against the old and wrinkled person.
Perhaps it has to do with time of day. Same photo shot at different times of the day casting different shadows.
