I need an advice

I have chronic severe GAD with many of it's symptoms. Lately I have been OK and managed to find a job and now I'm less than a month to start getting so badly needed medical benefits. However one major stressful event can shake me and throw me down.

It happened today. My "best pal at work" complained to so called supervisor about some work issue and the supervisor was pretty mean and said that he is not a nice person like the guy who complained so he has no problem approaching me. Saying "he is nice but I am not" sounRAB rude to me and I was this close to quit the job.

A healthy person would deal with it or ignore him but me, it's just eating me inside out. Any advice on how to handle it, how to ignore?

First thing, realize the issues going on between these two have nothing to do with you. Everyone knows that you're new and figuring things out. So, remeraber that. Give yourself a pat on the back for finding and landing the new job. Also realize, you were hired to complete a specific listing of tasks. So, focus on those and getting them completed.

Secondly, take note of how you are feeling through out the day. If you're not working a job requiring constant phone usage, plan breaks throughout the day to help relax you. They could be going to the break room and getting a glass of water, sitting back in your office chair and slow breathing or even taken a walk around the building. Find something that helps you to focus.

Lastly, you don't have to wait for insurance. If you have a Pdoc, call their office and try to work something out with the doctor. In most cases, they will charge you the same rate they'd get paid by the insurance. If a medication is prescribed, you can ask for a generic. Wal-mart, Walgreens and even CVS have most generic anxiety/anti-depressants on the $4 / month list.

Don't lose hope. Try to see all of the positive things in your life right now and even more positive things happening in your future!
