i need advice about flushing the cooling system of my Honda Accord.....?

I have a 99 honda accord. I've seen various methods. I don't want to buy a kit and cut my radiator hose. I am thinking of buying a 5 gallon bucket and using my garden hose. I don't know where to stick the hose in and how to get the water to come out and flow into the bucket. I also want to make sure there are no air bubbles after I refill it.

There is a kit you can buy at walmart or an auto parts store near you that you take the radiator cap off, connect the kit and then connect the garden hose to. Make sure you open the drain on the radiator. It will be at the bottom of it and look like a plastic heart shaped thing. Turn it until it comes out. Make sure the bucket is underneath the drain cause that's where it will all come out. The. Turn on the hose and let it run until the water coming out is clear. When it is clear shut off the hose, and disconnect it. Leave the drain open until the water stops coming out then close it. Then fill up your radiator with the green coolant all the way to the top. Put the cap on, start the car and let it run for about 15 minutes. Turn it off and let it cool down for maybe 20, just until you can open the cap again to check the level and be careful the coolant may spray a little. Top off as needed and its done.

water hose in the top of the radiator pull off the lower hose and run the hose wide open BUT ONLY DO THIS WITH A COLD ENGINE IF YOU USE COLD WATER!!!!!

run the engine till you like whats coming out shut the motor off drain the exess water

reattacch the lower hose

start adding coolant mix and top it off and run the motor in short spirts at first and take plenty with you its often hard to burp these late modle cars so you may have to watch the temp close for a few days and add more as needed
