It has "importance" becasue the people who have been fooled by the fear-mongering of "global warming" activists are now being steered into certain behavior and their money is being funneled in certain directions by the "green movement."
It's all crap. The earth does what it wants. It was here long before us. It will be here long after us, no matter what we "do" to it.
