I need a small tree for my garden?

i have a flower bed up against my house and it has alot of space in it....i was thinking about putting a tree or bush there to fill the space but i dont want it grow all up against the house....are there any type of common small tree i can buy that would get too big and looks great in gardens???....can someone please send me the link
