yes, I need an attention grabber for arround $300 downwards (they dont have to be expensive, I have a budget too). I dont want anything that looks too complicated (mp3 phones), I just need something that looks stunning in my hands.

so far, I've narrowed down my choices to a used 8801 or a silver KRZR.

are there anymore phones that fits in this category and price range (brand new or used)?

You've probably hit the nail by narrowing it down to the Nokia and the Moto. I've had the 8800 series by Nokia and it's just a fabulous looking phone with solid craftsmanship. It's a real jewel. I got rid of it because I did not find the ringers nor the earpiece volume loud enough. The speakerphone was a joke as well. I payed it over $1K when it was launched and didn't think it was worth it. Let's face it, Moto kills in this aspect (sound and volume). If you like the KRZR, then try to get a black one, it looks awesome. It's one of my current phones. It's also very loud. Since you're in the $300 range you can't stray too far from these models in my opinion to get a return on quality as well. Also, consider you're getting a used 8801 for this price. You may want to check out the Samsungs as well. They're always a good value for the price as well. I've owned a few and had a good experience. Check out the D830. The newer Z620 is also fine but it may cost over $400 I believe. Have fun.

What carrier are you going with? If you don't one that provides coverage where you live, work, travel, etc, you will have a sexy, sleek, stylish, useless and expensive phone.

thanks foot matix.

does the black krzr look better than the silver one? I found a silver one for cheap but i have yet to see black ones for cheap as well. i guess its a pretty rare color?

Personally, I think the silver one looks better than the black, but it's all based on personal preference so which ever you like best, you should get (color wise)

everyone and his grandmother has a silver phone...(no offence)...

put them side by side and you'll understand...black KRZR are hard to find....they look the business and make you look like a serious pro....

depends what you're looking for....it's personal...

There's a silver phone and then there's a chrome silver phone. The KRZR isn't a cheap silver samsung or LG clamshell made out of plastic, it's literally like a mirror and dare I say "stunning" in person. It's completely different than the silver used on the v3

Nokia 8801 or nokia n73 is nice in black and the slvr is not a bad phone i its nice and thin for work and it doesnt take too bad pics.

ok, help me make up my mind.

8801 or silver KRZR

Im somehow pressed to purchase either now because i have less than a month to go before I head out for my vacation. I read and read a lot of articles and reviews about the 2 phones and I get the same comment:

"phones are too basic and everyone who buys it are just for the looks"

which I am.

now, thing is that I might sell this phone after my vacation for a month. I dont know which one will hold its price better.

-the 8801s pretty old and most used ones out there dont have warranty (which is sort of a must for me especially its a used phone)
- KRZR on the other hand is at least $100 cheaper than a used 8801 and will come with a warranty for sure
-i kinda dont wanna shell out a lot of cash especially that i might sell it after a month of usage
-also thinking about the market in june. people are probably going to start selling their phones for the next big thing in june

i dont know, cant make up my mind.

L7 is a good choice if you are looking for looks / functions. Its pretty cheap now also, but too bad its on rogers... if it wasnt, it woulda been a bigger hit

I'd say go for a SoftBank 707SC. Sleek, very! Sexy, extremely! Stylish, you betcha!

This phone is pure kicks, but it does have a 2mp camera.
