...in a typical household.? I'm in a jam. I was meaning to go to the fish store today, but here on Long Island, New York, we have been hit with a large snow storm and was unable to drive over there. I ran out of fish food and the last time they have ate anything was Christmas Eve mourning. I know that they can live without food for a little bit since they don't always find food in the wild everyday, but I'm not too sure that I will be able to get there tomorrow as well, depending if the plows come by or not. They make it very clear to me when they are hungry because i feed them at virtually the same time every day. They also swim to the side of the tank that is next to my computer desk and give me the look to remind me that its time to eat! hahaha. Oh well, I'm sure they will be fine, just looking for a quick temporary food to keep them from giving me the evil eye.
Upon research, I found that lettus was the most popular of the answers. But I am timid to try that. Anyone have any thing thats worked for you?
Fish: approximately 8 inch red belly pacu, few large tinfoil barbs, few bala sharks, two massive spotted plecos, and an eclipse catfish.
