I need a phone with excellent sound and reception quality...

I'm with ATT and about to throw my w810i against the wall, the ****** volume on this phone is unbelievable! I had a decent reception with an 7-8 old nokia, but this phone tops everything! I get almost every call in my house dropped, have to move around the house for minutes till I find some reception...the volume on this phone stinks, speakerphone is decent.

I need a phone with excellent sound quality and atleast a somewhat good reception... a camera and a mp3 player are a plus if available....I would not mind unlocking other phones from diff carriers just to find something that actually works

No jokes, man, the RAZR V3i, V3, and K1 (KRZR) are the best phones I've owned for battery life and sound quality, and no other phone I've owned has touched the reception on them yet.
 
I used to feel the same way, but then I figured out that it was the best phone (as being what a phone is expected to do) that I've ever owned.

I've been reading that the Nokia N75 has excellent reception as well, but I'm not personally familiar with it.
 
The U600 has better sound quality over the D900, but the D900 has better reception. The N73's a winner in my book, as long as you like candybar phones. Nokia's are typically known for good reception (minus the 8801... *shudder*), so you're safe.
 
If the camera and MP3 player aren't essential, find a Moto V197 (or an unlocked V195). Basic phone with Bluetooth, great reception, and unbelievable battery life.
