I need a new phone HELP

OK i just cracked my i68+ phone today. Since it is touch screen, this phone is no good anymore.

Here my background which might be helpful on picking a phone for me!!!
1. i'm currently AT&T customer, and eligible to upgrade to new phone.
2. I'm an aircraft tech and work outside alot.
3. currently using the 450min plan plus 400 text.

Question 1: i really enjoy using smart phone, love the wifi (not so much for the 3G) and dont have data plan (not planning on gettin one either). But i'm gettin more worry about gettin a nice phone then it will get destory at work. Should i get a smart phone or some military spec phone?

Question 2: Should i stay with At&t or switch to diff company, since i'm free to move..

Question 3: What is a better deal if i stay with att? open a new account or sign up a 2yr contract? ( what is the diff beside i'm gettin a new number?)

Ask would love to get some suggestion on new phone. thanks
 
If you want swith to other company or stay with AT&T, the discission is in you. You have to think it over. Does AT&T does't give you a good service anymore?
 
I would probably change the order of my questions.

pick a service provider first then start looking at phones. I would not buy a iphone or a fuze because you have to get a data plan with these phones. Most pda style phones will want you to buy a data plan.
 
i end up staying with att because i found the nokia e71 deal for $0.01 online.


what do i need to do to get my phone switch? they send me a new sim card, do i have to call to get it activite? or should i use the old sim card?
 
If you decide to stay with AT&T but do not wish to sign a 2 year contract, consider buying an unlocked phone and simply add your sim card to it. Check out DiscountWholesaleBargains.com to see if you can find a good deal.
