I'm almost finished with Fahrenheit 451, and I need a new book.

My favorite genre is realistic fiction (although a little mystery is nice too)

I have recently read: Speak, Monster, Twisted, Catalyst, Thirteen Reasons Why, and of course a few classics for English class.

Please DO NOT recommend Twilight to me, I hate reading extremely popular books and the storyline does not interest me one bit.

Please and Thank you

Although it does not fit in your genre, have a read of, "The Alchemist" by Paulo Cohelo (sp?). It is fantastic and one of those that gives you food for thought.
Another excellent read is, "Labyrinth" by Kate Mosse. (not the supermodel!!).

I would suggest something by Chuck Palahniuk. He's written a lot of good ones most notably "Diary" and "Lullaby" and of course "Fight Club". His books are mostly realistic at first and then become something else entirely once you've started to understand what the story is about.
Diary and Lullaby are probably my favorite of his lesser known books, well, lesser known in that they're not Fight Club. Also they're not entirely about sex, which some of his books seem to focus on almost entirely (or in the case of Snuff, entirely).

I recomend you reading umberto eco's books. Foucault's pendulum is his best, it's very engaging and myterious. here's the synopsis:

Student of philology in 1970s Milan, Casaubon is completing a thesis on the Templars, a monastic knighthood disbanded in the 1300s for questionable practices. At Pilades Bar, he meets up with Jacopo Belbo, an editor of obscure texts at Garamond Press. Together with Belbo's colleague Diotallevi, they scrutinize the fantastic theories of a prospective author, Colonel Ardenti, who claims that for seven centuries the Templars have been carrying out a complex scheme of revenge. When Ardenti disappears mysteriously, the three begin using their detailed knowledge of the occult sciences to construct a Plan for the Templars[...] In his compulsively readable new novel, Eco plays with "the notion that everything might be mysteriously related to everything else," suggesting that we ourselves create the connections that make up reality. As in his best-selling The Name of the Rose, he relies on abstruse reasoning without losing the reader, for he knows how to use "the polyphony of ideas" as much for effect as for content. Indeed, with its investigation of the ever-popular occult, this highly entertaining novel should be every bit as successful as its predecessor.

Sarah's Key by Tatiana De Rosnay is very good.
Say Yes by Audrey Couloumbis is better though, you should def. read it.

1. Blue Blood series (1. bluebloods 2. masquerade 3. revelations) by Melissa De La Cruz. Way better than twilight in my opinion. Best vampire/fiction/fantasy novel out there.

2. Pink Carnation Series by Lauren Willig (1. Secret History of the Pink Carnation 2. Masque of the Black Tulip 3. Deception of the Emerald Ring 4. Seduction of the Crimson Rose 5. Temptation of the Night Jasmine)

3. Harry Potter (did i really need to say that one?) XD
