Well that's a toughfy isn't it. Where can I begin...? Let's see well you can see through history that mostly all civilizations began near the water, like most Native American tribes lived near the cost of current day U.S., well anyway that's irrelevant.
Okay, for example you have U.S., originally started as part of the New World, where there you have Christopher Columbus coming from Spanish civilization where you have Florida, which is Spanish, and California. And then you have the development by the British civilization into the Thirteen Colonies, where by the Revolutionary War which was fought between the newly claimed Americans and the Britians. So that's the U.S.
Then you have places like Iraq which used to be Mesopotamia, and that started w/ the Sumerian civilization and then it went to the Akkadian civilization, then to the Babylonians and then to the Assyrian civilization. You have the rise and fall of all these civilizations which contributed to the present-day Iraqi civilization. Including the Persian rule and the Islamic reign, which is why there is today a strong tie to the religion of Islam in Iraq, which also led to the 9/11 events.
So there you have it, that's the best that I could do in about 10 minutes of remembering and looking at my History book, hope you pick me.
