possible? I realize that Florida schools start their fall semester early and their spring semester ALSO early in general as they do not want kids at the Junior College late into May when weather is easily in the 90s and often sweltering. If the JUCO you know of started its spring semester on or after January 25th or anytime early in February than chances are it is NOT TOO LATE TOO ENROLL. I need for this Junior College to have a baseball team as I am trying to find a place for a friend of mine to play this semester, who was starting on a Top 25 4 year school but was forced to leave the team Tuesday of this past week, which really was two academic days to late for him to have his pick of Junior Colleges. If you know a guy who coaches Junior College Baseball who WANTS a div one starter as a freshman last yr who can get a young man enrolled even though most schools seemed to have a cut off of Feb 12th, this kid would immediately be the best player, AND A VERY GOOD STUDENT TO BOOT, who would make a lousy team competitive and a competitive team championship caliber. This young man was drafted out of HS, opted to go play Big Time NCAA baseball, and is a great student as well... At this point, he is willing to go play in Carolinas, the Northeast, the Midwest, or even the Pacific Northwest!! He obviously would prefer Florida or SEC country but realizes he needs to be realistic in this eleventh hour. PLEASE, IF YOU KNOW OF A SCHOOL, OR PERHAPS U ARE MARRIED TO A JUCO COACH, this young man is a guy who will both raise your team's GPA substantially AS WELL AS ITS national stature. He is a gamer who would gladly break a wrist to get the final out to secure a series while diving to catch a ball in the ninth inning if that was the only way that winning the series could be delivered. HE IS THE TRUE DEFINIION OF A GAMER. HE IS A GR8 FIELDER as well as a switch hitter who nonetheless pitched 3 innings on a Saturday IN CONFERENCE last season when his team was losing a rare game so as to ensure that a full stable of pitchers would be available for the rubber match on Sunday.
Any help that either a two-year school Administration person, student, student-athlete, coach, teacher, or Junior College attendee who wants to make his stay at JUCO memorable by likely making the Baseball team immediately in contention for a NJCAA title, offer the best guidance here and it will likely happen. Thank you kindly, Scott (508) -523-4493 or scott dot martineau AT comcast dot net as my secondary email address.
