I'm a sophomore in my first year of debate and I just broke into Open for dramatic interp. I had a tournament today and I noticed that all of the kids had really emotionally dramatic pieces. Mine is considered dramatic because there is one part where my character realizes her dreams will never come true. That part is really only the dramatic part and it lasts like one paragraph long. I feel that the piece limits me and I need something with more emotion. Do you have any suggestions? Perhaps even a book that is dramatic or a play or musical.
