i need a book for english to do a book report on. what do u suggsst?

i t has t be three hundred pages, a best seller or award winning, can tbe part of aa series and it must have literary merrit. iam going to Barnes and noble any minute now. please tell me any book! nothing scary please!
 
try watership down. it's a good book about rabits. i had to do that one when i was in 8th grade advance english.
 
One of Philip Pullman's 'His Dark Materials' series (ie Northern Lights/The Golden Compass, The Subtle Knife or The Amber Spyglass). The religious references and subtext are amazing.
But you need time to absorb
 
Don't go to Barnes and Noble. Go to a library. The librarian can help you find an appropriate book, and you can borrow it for free.
Do you think the clerk at B&N is going to be able to help you? Librarians have lists of award-winning books that would be exactly what you need.
And,frankly, whoever gave you this assignment should have also provided a list of books. I guess the teacher doesn't hang around libraries much, either.
