also im goin to be goin on a trip (texas to florida) with my new born son in the car. what else should i have done to make sure the car will make it..

an how much they will coast?
 
yep, oil change from 25-30. tune ups can cost anywhere from 100 to 300 (mine did), but usually 100 or so.
 
an oil change should be about 30 bucks
do the tune up yourself, you dont really get dirty and its all very very easy
