I nee help figuring out a good exercising plan?

Ok So i need help. I know how to exercise but i need to know what way is best! I have a treadmill. Do i run or walk? How long? How many times a day? how many times a week? and what about sculpting muscles. i am so confused on exercising its not even funny but i don't wanna spend a bunch of money with a trainer. Please will someone give me an idea. Just to give you an idea of my build. I am a 5'10 Female and i weigh 250 pounds and just so you know. I used to be 450 pounds! i had surgery and now i am at a stand still HELP PLEASE!!!
