I've read many times in my herb books to rub a clove of fresh garlic on your acne. I remeraber doing this a long time ago, except I used minced garlic in a jar. I can't remeraber it helping alot. Well, after reading it once again the other day and being very frustrated with my acne lately, I cut open a clove of garlic after washing my face and rubbed it on each area I had pimples. I had at least 20 blemishes on my face. I did this on Sunday...it is now Tuesday...not even a full three days ago. I did it twice on Sunday, once yesterday, and once this morning. My face is clearing up!!!! Pretty much all I have are scabs right now! A few clogged pores, but no new or remaining pimples...just the remnant of them.

What the hell? Is it really this easy? I know garlic is a miracle food, and I eat TONS of it. It works as a natural antibiotic which I suppose is why it makes your pimples go away so fast. I am so surprised and SO happy at how fast this is working!

I have terrible skin and my hopes are that if I keep this up all week maybe it will be clear for the first time in a long time this coming weekend! Even if it's not clear, what I have right now...pretty much just healing scabs...are so much better than what i've had in a long time. I've been struggling with my skin for years...about 10 now (I'm 22), and this is by far the fastest healing miracle i've encountered. Maybe it will even prevent pimples. I highly recommend you try it....it's cheap and easy. And FAST! :D

So, i'm on day nuraber 5 of using the garlic. I use it every morning. I have only a couple small pimples and everything else is just fading away. It seems it not only is getting rid of zits with lightning speed, but maybe also helping to prevent them?? Maybe because of the antibiotic properties? Hmmm....whatever it is, i'm liking it. :) :)

Thanks for all your information! I started rubbing garlic on my face on Sunday - I just started Differin a few weeks ago so I didn't want to do too much at once - but I think I can already see a difference. I hope this is the answer! Please keep us updated on your progress!!

Glad it's working for you too! My skin is doing good right now...so much better than before i started doing this. I'm really pleased with it. Using benzol perozide and salicylic acid, and all that stuff really doesn't make my zits go away any faster than they would heal normally...I think it just irritates and dries my skin. The garlic makes them go away SO fast. I did have one breakout a few days ago, but it's gone now(fast!), and was just because of starting my period. I hope more people try this and it works for them! Good luck acne sufferer! I'm going to keep doing this for sure!

That is great! I'm definitely going to try this. What type of cleanser and moisturizer do you use? Do you find the garlic makes your skin oily? I have really oily skin and used Proactiv for 2 years. I finally went to a dermatologist and he has prescribed me benzoly peroxide wash and differin gel but it's gotten worse. I've only been on it a couple weeks so I'm hoping it's going to clear up soon but I've very tempted to try the garlic!

No, it doesn't make my skin oily at all. The fresh garlic is wet, but its a water consistensy, not an oil. It dries right up, and aside from the smell you can't tell it's on your skin. The smell is the drawback, but it seems to fade after a bit. I wear makeup over it since i only put it on in the morning, so it pretty much covers up the smell right away. I too, have oily skin, and for some reason my skin isn't oily right now. That may be due to the new winter weather though.

I use Kiss My Face Startup Organic face wash and for moisturizer i've been using Philosophy's 'When Hope is not Enough" firming serum, which is actually an anti-aging product, but it's made with vitamin c, vitamin e, soy and other good stuff for your skin and on the package it says it is for if your skin has lost its radiance, neeRAB firmness and lift, you want to hydrate the skin without adding oil,you want to revitalize stressed, aged, wrinkled skin, you want to guard the skin from free-radical damage. So, it works really well as a light moisturizer, but dries up like water, which is so weird, because it totally helps if i have a flaky spot. ?! Anyways, hope that helps! :)

I am still doing this every day and my face is looking great! Almost all my pimples are gone! I only have a couple and they are only small ones! I can't believe how good this is working for me, I really hope people will try this because it's really awesome to find an all natural treatment to work for you. I'm also putting apple cider vinegar on my face at night, and lemon juice on in the morning after I wash my face, to help with spots from old pimples....my skin is almost looking good enough to be in front of people with no makeup!

are you still having success with the garlic regime? I am thinking of trying it. I have been battling with acne for years. I have tried everything (including accutane), several times. I am truly at my wits end, so I hope this could be a solution for me.

Hey Yogi, I went out of town for the holidays and wasn't using the garlic and broke out really bad. :( But I am back now and using it and my face is almost back to clear again. It's kind of hard to use while staying at other peoples houses....kind of erabarassing having people see you rub garlic all over your zits, at least it is for me, lol and it usually smells for a bit after you put it on so i usually try not to be around people right away. BUT, at least I know it's what was working since as soon as I stopped I broke out...and as soon as I started again, I started clearing. I'm also using "Grandma's Lye Soap" now for my face cleanser. It's just a bar of pure lye....nothing else added to it, so it's very mild and has no fragrances that might irritate your skin. My skin is SO sensitive, i've really been noticing lately, the less I put on it, the better off I am. So I just wash with the pure lye, put garlic on spots during the day, at night i've just been washing and putting nothing on my face except a dab of tea tree oil on big pimples. My skin is looking good right now minus red marks from my most recent breakout, but lemon juice and mint julep mask should help with that soon. :D

Good luck....and i've also been on Accutane....2 courses so far. :( And was great for a year then started breaking out again. I don't want to do it again because my hair is thin and I don't want to risk losing it!!
