The Immortal
All my life I’ve wandered ‘round,
To and from this horrid realm.
From sanity to insane worlds,
My thoughts, they have always swirled.
Into darkness bleak and cold,
To the light I try to hold.
My travels did but drive me mad,
Away from the life of which I had.
These words they circle through my veins,
‘Tis the one true thing that brings me pain.
My memories try I forget,
Of the sorrows which once I met.
The Haze it settles in my view,
Bringing shadows old and knew.
My mind alone has been my cage,
From knewest times to oldest age.
Enemies and conquered lands,
I hate myself and these blood stained hands.
Eternity’s a cursed thing,
If your not strong you’ll be withering.
The Eons they have passed me by,
From brightest day to darkest skies.
My one true wish I am still denied,
For an immortal cannot die.
