i m 3rd year btech student I.T,i m not able to make my mind between php or asp.net?

friends i want to go for web designing but still i couldn't make my mind whether i should take .net or php some one is saying .net has wider scope(job availabilty)and some1 suggests for php.
i need to take job after my btech. and we have 4month summer training to do any course.
