I look good in school photos, but not in casual photos, HELP!!!...?

you might be more "classically" attractive: when posed meticulously, like a professional actor or model, you can strike a fascinating appearance; when you're not trying, you're forgettable. I kind of envy you; the more I focus, the uglier I appear (at least in photographs). my advice: always smile at the camera, sit up straight, and say cheese whenever a camera appears.

then we can helpAll it means is that the photographer has the experience and equipment to use light to their advantage to make for a flattering picture. They set a correct exposure and pose you in such a way that you look better.
That's what makes them professionals and makes people with point and clicks just regular dudes.
