I live in Southern California, what carniverous plants can I grow outdoors?

I live near the foothills in San Gabriel Valley and would like to grow some carniverous plants to help us out with our spider (and other insect infestation) problem outside. Which carniverous plants can I grow outside without a greenhouse? Can I grow them in a large tin tub? Thanks
