being uncontested? We have been seperated for 7 months , married for 4 , andhave a son who will be 2 a few days after the divorce. The court date is next week. Now that the date is almost upon us , I am having second thoughts. He says we need to find ourselves all over agian and maybe in the future we can get back together. I want to stay seperated and see counseling and see if there is a chance. A lot has gone on between us , and there is a lot of hurt on both sides , but we try to get along , and when the date to stand before the judge comes , I don't think I have the will to speak without breaking down. I want to respect his wishes ,( as he just wants to get it over with , there is no in between with him , it's married or divorced , all balck and white. I just think we should have tried harder , and that staying seperated a little while longer to see if we can work out the things we need to seperately , yet go to counseling to see if there is a chance is a better solution and if the judge has the right to make that decision. Our divorce is uncontested. If the judge sees the condtition of our mindsets , as we will both be blubbering fools ,: know I will , and I am almost sure he will , does he have the right to put a continuance on the divorce regardless of the fact that this is uncontested? This is breaking my heart to pieces! Everythng in my heart is saying this isn't right , and I want to know... Am I basically just counting down te days to my doom? or does the judge have the right to make a decision he tinks is right over what our decision is....PLEASE HELP!
