Alright, I live in a manufactured home community where we have to pay lot rent monthly. It's $348/Mo. It is December and I just got a note saying that my rent was late for JULY!!! WTF? I have never missed a payment on any of my bills EVER in my lifetime! So now she has charged me a crap ton of fees for it and it's $554 they want. I know that I paid this bill with amoney order but I don't have any of the receipts - is there anything I can do here or am I screwed? Shouldn't they have told me in August that my rent was past due...instead of a whole 1/2 YEAR later???? How professional is that? I dind't even mail it - I put it in her drop box. She even said she "May have misplaced it" So now I have to pay it again and FEES too???? Can they do that? I need help - these assholes seriously sent this to me right before christmas and I have three little boys all under 5 years old. I'm sooooo pissed. Any good legal advisors out there?
