The carpet will NOT come clean, the padding is gone, and its just black in spots with a few rips at seams that have been here before we moved here and just have gotten worse..

I have lived here going on 10 years, so there has been constant walking on it. The carpet was here when I moved here, so who's telling how old the carpet ACTUALLY is.. probably 15- 20 years for all ya know.

My neighbor on side A got brand new carpets installed, she's only lived there 4 years!! AND, her carpet wasn't near as bad as mine. I have been in her home and have seen it, so I know for a fact it wasn't near as bad as mine is.

I think they should have replaced my carpets when they replaced hers. However they did not. My landlord does not want to replace my carpets, hes trying to get them "repaired" instead.. he had a carpet cleaning company come out to inspect to see if its something that can be repaired and even the company said it should be replaced. But, my landlord is still trying to force them to just repair it.

I do not think this is right at all, I just want some honest opinions on the matter, and what I should do about this! Thank you!

So,how attractive is your neighbor?Check with your local landlord/tenants association,Im pretty sure theres a time limit on how long they can go without changing them. You could just get some remnants and lay them down yourself, some of them are really large and very cheap.
