...smell comes in my house? Hello. I rent a condo. A few months ago the owner next to me rented his unit to an Indian family. Every day all day all I can smell is grilled onions and curry cooking. Their oven is on the opposing side of mine. When I go outside and look there are 2 vents so im pretty sure they don't share a exhaust tube at the end. The smell is pretty unbearable and embarrassing when I have friends visit. My house constantly smells like curry exhaust. Plus I have a 4 year old son who doesn't quite like the smell all of the time either. These people are even sometimes cooking all night long since I can hear the fan going all night sometimes. My question is isn't this a health or air quality issue? Is there anything I can do? I feel like complaining to my owner but im not sure what that will do. Are there building codes and special filters for this type of thing? I feel like there should be a way to live without smelling like curry all the time. I hate having friends over because my house always smells. Plus the food fumes make my house really stuffy so we constantly have to have the windows and doors open with the friggin heater blasting, even at night sometimes. Please help.
