a regular basis.? The fighting is so loud, it wakes up my baby at night, and trust me, my baby is a HEAVY sleeper because there is a busy road right in front of our bedroom window. There is really loud banging on the walls, I can clearly hear what they are saying when I'm trying to sleep. I called the cops twice. Both times I could hear them joking around with the cops and acted like everything was peachy. Landlord came out the first time and I could hear her chit-chatting with the neighbor like there was nothing wrong and they were even laughing. This wakes my baby up in the middle of the night, usually makes her cry. Last night it was so bad she woke up screaming and shaking. First time I called the cops I heard the woman next door outside screaming "no one wants me to pull out my gun" after the cops left. It wasn't till a few days later that another neighbor told me she was making threats against ME for calling the cops. I didn't file a report of the threat because I thought too much time had passed. Last night I called the cops and haven't really left my house since because I am too nervous. I told the landlord again... who by the way said she could only do something about the noise/violence if I called the cops... and instead of getting back to me like a human being, she posted a smart ass remark on facebook about how people should be humble and appreciate what they have and that she's tired of hearing "blah blah blah". I wrote the home owner and he hasn't gotten back to me either. The neighbors also had the cops called by a different neighbor. The husband was drunk and backed his SUV into her car and pushed it out of its spot. Cops didn't do ANYTHING because it happened on private property. I am a bit late on rent, and I feel I am being mistreated even though my landlord knows the day I am paying it off and that I am paying ahead 3 months with my tax return. I feel the neighbors are abusing my baby because of how terrified she gets from the loud fighting. I need help looking up noise laws, and what to do about my neighbors. I know some people think I should just move, but I have no where to go and just had my first baby and I'm low income (on unemployment). I barely have money for diapers, let alone a lawyer. I really need help. It's affecting mine and my baby's sleep, and is putting a lot of strain on my and my fiance's relationship from being sleep deprived and worried about what the neighbors are going to do next... Anytime the cops or landlord show up, they convince everyone nothing happened, so I'm not being taken seriously, even though the other neighbors on their other side can usually hear the fighting as well...
