The only reason I bring it up is because I used to hate SM 2, but recently got to watch all 4 recently during a week. In terms of laugh out loud moments, the first is still the best, closely followed by the second, the last two just got the odd smirk, but nothing more. I think it's because the Wayan Brothers know how to do biting, gross-out humour, whereas the other two are just run of the mill comedies. SM 3 & 4 are empty because of their absence. Shame, because I love Naked Gun/Airplane.
Naked Gun 2 was on C4 last night, still gets lots of belly laughs after the 100th time of watching it.

1st is medicore but watchable
2nd is almost the worst film ever made (Date Movie holRAB that honour)
3rd is a mismatch of ideas with some vaguely amusing moments
4th is probably the inspiration for every awful spoof made since (Epic Movie, Meet the Spartans).

I like the first one, probably because it was original at the time. The second is ok but 3 and 4 were pretty bad.

I really enjoy the first 2 movies (they were immature with all the gross out humour, but it was very funny imo), but 3 was bad and 4 was truly abysmal. I've avoided Date Movie, Epic Movie and Meet The Spartans because they all looked similar in "comedic" style to SM4. Consequently i couldn't give two shits about 'Superhero Movie'.
And Christ knows how they keep getting Leslie Nielsen to appear in these movies! I love The Naked Gun films, but everytime i see him popping up in these poor excuses for comedies i lose a bit of respect for him.
