we are both in our mid twenties.
I started a new job about 3 weeks ago. I knew I probably wouldn't be working there long, it just wasn't a good fit. Well, over the last 2 weeks, I have been training. A guy at work caught my eye, mainly because he was always looking at me. Every time I turned around I would catch him looking, and he would quickly look away. I thought he was very attractive and liked the idea that there may be an attraction. Then over the last 2 weeks, he had to train me on our company program. He is really nice and a little shy. He seemed a bit nervous, not sure if it was me or not. But anyway we have gotten more friendly over the last few weeks and I still catch him looking at me. I did some asking around and found out that he is seeing someone, don't know how serious it is.
Than yesterday I was offered a better position, with more pay. So I decided to take it. I told my current employer I today was my last day and left. I wanted to say bye to my work crush but the office is small (even though there are a lot of people) it just wouldn't have been discrete. I thought about leaving my number on his desk but chickened out. So I when i got into my car, I wrote him a small note (with the intent to leave it on his car) with my number and telling him if he wanted to call/text me sometime, he could. I also said that I don't usually leave notes on peoples cars, but didn't know another way. I figure , if he calls, great. If not, that's fine too. This way I didn't put him on the spot or in the workplace. Was this a bad idea?
