I laughed so loud during a test...Got in lots of trouble.?

In english we were taking a Test and my teacher is very strict.
well this guy sits a couple desk away and it was quite and He texted me
saying "I bet you're all loose"
I started busting up!!! my teacher took my phone and now im suspended for 2 days.
why didnt my friend get in trouble??/He texted it
