I know this is discusting but...?

belly buttons don't get infected, they are merely the result of the tying off of your umbilical cord when you were born, so it must be something else. You must have cut yourself, scratched, pierced, or otherwise injured an area NEAR it. First, is it oozing pus? if there is no pus, its not an infection. If there IS, then you obviously damaged some tissue below the surface of your skin. Try washing the area gently with soap and water [if its a small wound]; pat it dry, put some Neosporin on a BandAid, and cover the area. Stay away from wearing tight jeans, pants, or whatever, put on a fresh BandAid with Neosporin every day, and in 3 or 4 days, it should heal.

On the other hand, if you pierced the area by some sort of impact injury, and there IS pus, see a doctor right away. Forget about feeling embarrassed, etc., and just do it. If you don't, you risk it becoming a wider, deeper infection that will leave a scar. Scars look pretty ugly with a bathing suit or short-crop top.

And 1 last thing: your post does not belong under the Cancer heading. Good luck.
