cingular has a pretty good plan for iphone users i thought. it was something like 20 extra a month for unlimited data and 200 messages i think. for a PDA phone, that's like half off.

i've never had any problems with my treo. admittedly, i've been scoping out the blackjack as of late, but i will continue to use my treo. i thought i would have been all about the iPhone as i have been an apple user for many years, and have always said apple should make a pda phone or something similar. i'm just not overly impressed for the price. it just seems to be a fancy GUI.

A phone doesn't have to have any innovative features to be good. For example, a lot of previous phones had touch screen, it's just that the iPhone does it well (multi touch).

I have an 8525 and love it, and wouldn't trade it for an Iphone because I use cellular data enough that 3G is worth fighting for. But the iphone's interface and screen are fucking incredible, as is the thin form factor. The speed and smoothness of the interface blows away win mobile devices. If they pull together an iphone with 3G and ideally a lot more storage, I would dump some money into one. But right now, the pretty-factor isn't enough to justify the cost to me.
