its cute, but personally i like poems that rhyme, im not saying yours is bad, don't get me wrong but i really like poems that rhyme and are witty
 
well yesterday i needed help to write a poem for my gf because her birthday is coming up so here it is

I tried to get you the moon
But it was too far
I tried to get you diamonds
But they can’t shine like u
I tried to get u a rose
But the store was close
So please remember that I would get you anything
To see your smile
So I hope this teddy bear
To show u that my feelings are as clear as air.
