I know another riddle but can you solve it?

An old king is about to die and he has no offspring to inherit the crown. So he summons the three wisest men from his kingdom and puts them to a test. He tells them that he is about to put them in a room and have his aide put a hat on each of them. Each hat may or may not have a dot on it, but at least one hat will have a dot. They may not touch the hats, nor communicate in any way. The first one that correctly identifies whether his hat has a dot will become the next king. If he is wrong, or if he breaks the rules, he will be killed. Then he sends all three wise men into the room.

The king then tells his aide to put dotted hats on all three.

A few minutes later one of the wise men returns and announces proudly that he has a dot. How did he know?
 
He can see that the other two have dots, but have not left the room to claim the kingdom, and thinking that the king was a wily old man, he knew the king would have put dotted hats in all three, and he was the wisest...!
 
Let's call the three wisest men from the kingdom 'A', 'B', and 'C'. And let's say that 'A' was the man that knew he had a dot on his head.

'A' could see that 'B' and 'C' had dots on their hats. So, if 'A' didn't have a dot on his hat, 'B' would think to himself...

"I can see that 'A' does not have a dot on his hat, and 'C' does. So that means that if didn't have a dot on my head, 'C' would know that he had a dot on his head. But since 'C' has not left the room to announce that he has a dot, that means that I DO have a dot on my head."

But since 'A' could see that 'B' is not leaving the room to announce that he has a dot, 'A' can deduce that he has a dot on his head.

coz he put himself in the other guys shoes, seeing that the other two had dots he didnt want to go coz he finks he may not have a dot the othere guy finks the same and as he can see the other guy he knows that he must have a dot or else one of them would have said they had one


so they all must have had dots for him to come to that conclution

i hope that makes sence, at least it does to me haha
