you raised me,
you teach me
you have set me free
from the very thing
you withhold from me
whether you knew or not
is not the point i sought
but i wondered when you'll realize
you are the very thing you fought.
and i don't know when
time came and went
but i asked it on its way
whatever its purpose meant
we twiddled our thumbs
and solved riddles with venom
we watched and waited,
until we made our freedom.
