I just walked out of Miami Vice.

I'm trying to think.....when they heisted the stash, at the trailer, and at the end. Other than that, I can't think of anyone geting shot. Oh, that one guy at point blank in the office, which wasn't very exciting. Any others I'm forgetting?

that's 3 "shooting scenes"

The film, shot on location in the Caribbean and South Florida, lost seven days of filming to Hurricanes Katrina, Rita, and Wilma.[3] The delays led to a budget of what some insiders claimed to be over $150 million, though Universal Studios says it cost $135 million.[2]
Several crew members criticized Mann's decisions during productions, which featured sudden script changes, filming in unsafe weather conditions, and choosing locations that "even the police avoid, drafting gang members to work as security."[2]
Foxx was also characterized as unpleasant to work with, mostly due to his ego: he refused to fly commercially, forcing Universal Studios to give him a private jet. Foxx would not participate in scenes on boats or planes. After real gunshots were fired on set in the Dominican Republic on October 24, 2005, Foxx packed up and refused to return; this forced Mann to re-write the ending of the film, an ending that some crew members characterized as less dramatic than the original.[2] Foxx, who won an Academy Award after signing to do Miami Vice, was also reputed to complain about co-star Farrell's larger salary, something Foxx felt didn't reflect his new status as an Oscar winner. Foxx received an increase in salary, and Farrell's took a bit of a cut. It was also reported that Foxx demanded top billing after winning an Oscar, however Farrell ended up on the top of the credit listing

i think i am pretty fair for movies. even if its bad, i wont ever walk out of one. why not just watch the whole thing to give it a fair review. u cant say shit if you walk out of it. the movie wasnt great, but it wasnt bad.
pros
filmed w/ HD cameras...HD is awesome. amazing clarity. its tough to get the lighting right filming w/ HD cameras.
the sound in the movie was top notch. the sound of the guns during the shootout was awesome. way more realistic sounding than most shoot out scenes.

cons
kinda slow. i see how they were trying to film a more realistic view of the everyday battle cops have against the cartel. instead of crazy ass shit like in bad boys(which isnt bad, its entertaining)

even if u hated the movie, you have to admit the sound was excellent

I left right after collin farrell had secks with that asian girl in the hotel room, i was like "ok, there better be some fucking guns-a-rip-roaring after this or i'm leaving" and then they went to a restaurant and had a "serious" talk about how her mother died

I see what you're saying... however..
Point is this is a movie in 2006 with a lot of hype surrounding it. Perhaps Mann attempted to make it too much like the original series but if that was the case he should have kept the 'drama' to a minimum.. instead there was too much of Farrell and Foxx's faces involved in some kind of deep thinking and pondering about god knows what which lead to nothing, about 45 minutes of pure camera work with no point.. it was doomed from the beginning if that's what he tried to do. You can't have 2 hours of this, which is why this movie would have been a lot better and more interesting if it was about 1/2 the length.

I love how Jamie Foxx "rolled" out of the gunfire, then propped up on his elbows, waited a few seconds, and killed that dude with the shotgun. Realistic
