I just walked out of Miami Vice.

there were things I seriously didn't like about it, mostly dealing with how the characters were handled. Foxx and Ferrell looked like they hated each other and they never made eye contact. You never got the feeling that they trusted each other or that they would stick their necks out for each other, horrible dialog (or lack of) between the characters.

Also, I don't think they used Miami well at all. The shit they shot in Miami, for the most part, I think could have been done in any other major city. I hate saying it, but Bad Boys captured a Miami feel better than Miami Vice did. There locations they picked were pretty boring for the most part.

horrible movie. if i didn't use a free pass to get in i would have been pissed. its just one of those movies where NOTHING happens

i enjoyed the movie, but i thought it could have been a lot better. i would have liked to see more interaction between foxx and farrell to really show how close they were.

How about some car chases? Boat chases? When they robbed that stash at the beginning of the movie, that whole scene was fucking BORING. They should have stretched out the action parts of the movie, and had less bullshit romance. Why do I have to watch Jamie Foxx bang that hoe at the beginning? So I feel compassion for a relationship? Fuck that. I would have rather seen more action and felt a little less compassion (the compassion felt was next to nothing anyhow).

i haven't seen it yet so I'm not going to criticize it, but I think its plain to see from the previews alone that Vice was gonna suck.

You and I are on the EXACT same page about this movie. I was wondering the same thing. I sat there thinking "When the fuck is some action going to take place", and FINALLY when they went to the fucking trailer park something happened. And it wasn't even all that good. The suspense just wasn't gluing me to the screen like it usually does. Maybe I'm biased because I didn't like it overall?
