I just took a pregnancy test...showed up negative but now positive?

It says right in the instructions that you should ignore any result that shows up after ten minutes.

Why? I don't really know, but my best guess is that the pee gradually saturates the little stick and changes the results. The instructions also tell you to hold it in your stream for no more than five seconds because anything longer can produce an inaccurate result, so I'd assume that too much pee makes it unreliable.

Still, you're not going to feel better until you take another test. Do it and once you've found out you're not pregnant, throw the test out right away and don't look at it again :)

I took a Walgreens brand Early Result pregnancy test this morning and it showed up negative. I thought I could see the beginings of a second line that could mean positive but figured it would have shown up right away. A few hours later I came back and I could definitely see a blue line. It wasn't as thick as the other line but it was still very noticable. Does that mean I'm pregnant?

Seeing the beginnings of the second line can mean you are pregnant but its a bit too soon to test. Havnig the second line after a few hours could indicate pregnancy, but its usually caused by evaporation. When the urine evaporates through the test it has a tendancy to cause the pregnant line to appear. If you saw the line a bit after a minute or two, you might be pregnant. But after about ten minutes, if its not there, you aren't pregnant - or at least the test can't yet detect you are.
