there's a burning odor ...any ideas? I've been driving it up and down the highway, hoping it will go away, so far, about 30-40 miles, but it still smells. I can;t tell if its from the left or right wheel, bith are warm, but not excessively so. Could this be normal?

New brake pads smell like they are burning for a while when they get hot. It goes away. The friction generated between the rotors and the pads is extreme, and this heat bakes the pads. If you watch NASCAR night races, you can see that the rotors become red hot when the drivers hit the brakes going into corners. Your brakes won't get red hot, but you get the idea.
