Desmo, any word on the outcome??

The point is valentinodm, compared to what our founders intended we now live in a police state.
Our founders would have never put up with the shit we do on a regular basis.

I got pulled over by a State Trooper and was given a ticket for 114 in a 55, he was pretty cool, I didn't go to jail. I got off for 200 and change and deferred judification. They judge even let my use my race school certificate as the required safety course.
My case is most likely rare, but it never hurts to ask the judge deferred.

dude thats 59 over.....thats insane and they let you go which is even more insane.....and by the way, what do you mean 'I got off for 200 and change and deferred judification'?

no points on my record, just paid the fine, $200 and change. One month of deferred, no more tickets in that county in one month, and the offense gets expunged from my record.

Tickets suck. The hell of it is, we are supposed to be the people who are ultimately in charge of our legal system, not the other way around. Our laws exist in theory because we want them, need them, and agree with them. If we do not like the system of law, we are the only ones who can and should correct it. As free people, we set the parameters of how we act and the expectations of how others should act. Law is not just about what is written down, or what has been "common law." There is also efficacy, and validity.

These post are hilarious... and intriguing at the same time. From one stand point this lawyer guy is going off on a rant, using words that would confuse the average human being to prove an unimportant point. unfortunately i agree with some of his ideas yet i disagree with his method. rather then using complicated lexicon to confuse his opponent in the pursuit of stroking his ego, and to make the cop look stupid. on the other, there are 2 cops that are admitting to using their professional courtesy to evade tickets, which is not all that bad...considering our politicians and celebrities used their professional courtesies to get out of jail time and other situations..the only problems with this deal with government...we all just need to get the hell together ride out on our ducatis and head to washington...blip full throttle and give one BIG FUCK YOU to the bush administration...VIVA LA REVOLUCION!!! LOL

What do you mean "the hell of it is"?(rhetorical) By your own admission laws exist because "we" meaning society in general want them. For some reason people here (and all over every motorcycle forum I've ever been on) selectively forget(surely you're not that stupid) that sportbike/motorcycle riders don't represent the public in general and aren't in the majority and probably never will be.............The moral of the story is you play you pay.

WHat I mean is we bitch about laws that we fail to follow when we are the ones who can change them. There is no independent third party subjecting us to rule. Police exist to enforce laws that we establish. At least that is the way it is supposed to be. Its supposed to be that way.

As for badging their way out of things. Man, that is waaaaay low. How can you enforce laws that you yourself try to get out of. Hypocracy at its best. Police should be above that sort of behavior. Do us a favor and resign; your morals have been corrupted.

And for the attorney. I have a problem having to pay somebody to defend people from laws we establish. I think attorneys further the "old boy" network by giving people wealthy enough to pay special rights. AKA OJ Simpson, and every other wealthy criminal in this country. WHere is the justice in that? Because someone has enough money they can get away with doing whatever they want to do. WTF!!! The whole legal system in this country has turned into lawyers establishing laws only lawyers can understand and tried by lawyers. Enforced by individuals who think they are exempt. Laws passed in congress are the size of a library. It all sucks. We need major reform.
