First the pulled me over claiming that i switched lanes without a turn signal which could or couldnt have been true, but they were driving in the opposite lane and just suddenly swerved (like that's legal, right)....and followed me and turned the singlals on for me to pull over. I probably just got scared and went to the next lane, I don't know. anyways then they ask me what a few pills were in my car that were visible and i said just aspirin and a psych med i picked up that was prescribed to me.
Next thing u know, they put me through a 30 minute drug test, and search through mY WHOLE car, and find other pills, which i told them exactly what it was, and I also told them there's nothing illegal there, and there wasn't, and wel they basically let me go afterwards with no ticket or anything but well...
I feel a tiny bit violated here....
I asked a girl down the street when i got a sandwhich later if the cops in town are just on crack or something and her response was, "well, this is a tiny nice little town conservative, ur liberal, long blonde hair, they probably assumed u were a hippy, profiled u...saw the pill bottles and that was enough for them to think u were a mess/drug addict or whatever."
Should I go to that municipality tomorrow and complain about this? Because truth be told, I DO feel like they profiled me and were just making up reasons to do what they wanted to do,
the only legit thing they had going was, i really shouldn't have left ANY visible pill bottles in sight, but honestly it was like 10:30 pm and i didnt expect to get pulled over, and well...need that stuff! so i keep it out so i dont have to go looking for it if god forbid something happened or whatever.
I feel like they made a HUGE DEAL out of nothing, and I'm a young mid 20s, guy who has no criminal record or anything and a legit license/registration/insurance, don't drink/smoke, do drugs...
come from an upper middle class neighborhood and a well to do family, and yet...
just because i choose to dress/look a bit different, and I'm also gay/bi...
i guess that's enough for them to profile?

Am I in the wrong, or are they just abusing their power a bit? I can't get into their heads nor do i want to, but....do people just have their reasons and then go on power trips and decide to do whatever the hell they want?
also they way they yelled at me, treatd me like, Do this NOW, do that NOW...it's like...
