thats what this noise is...? I just got my timing belt, alternator belt, tensioner and waterpump replaced on a 96 Toyota Tercel and it's making the same noise as before I took it in just a little less.It sounds like a belt slipping and is worse when I first start the car and goes away when I turn off heater, lights ect.Could it be my battery is almost dead and putting a great amount of torque on the alternator?OR are my belts or something else slipping? It does it occasionally when I shift gears too.I brought it back and we hand checked the tension on the alternator belt and it was super tight barely any slack.Any ideas? Thanks so much

it is either out of alignment or wrong size belt check engine size it could be a different engine

you pretty much answered the question yourself. there might be too manythings running at once and its maknig the altinator squeaking. but also make your your belts are tightened good. you tighten it from the altinator there should be a slack adjuster. make sure there is no wear or cracks in the belt and if so replace them again.
