...discuss some test results.? I'm 9 weeks pregnant and freaking out about what could be wrong. Of course I can't call till Monday. Any thoughts as to what this could be?

I'm 10 weeks pregnant, and about a week ago the nurses called me and told me i had bacteria in my urine, which was a Urinary Tract Infection, and they would call in a prescription for me. They told me this over the phone. I had a blood test, pap smear and urine test done so far.

at 9 weeks im guessing they are the routine investigations???
so its probably something minor...

I am a CCMA and mother of 3
It is possible that it has something to do with the Baby's Alpha Feto Protein levels which can indicate Birth Defects
I can't say because I do not know but I want you to be prepared
My third daughter's AFP was abnormal they told me to abort her because she was going to be a Downs baby and was NOT expected to live long.. I do not believe in abortion and I told them I would love my daughter NO matter what.. To the Dismay of my OB/GYN
My daughter did NOT have DOWNS she was diagnosed as mildly autistic at 13 she is 14 now.. I feel that is what the AFP picked up.

IT IS SOMETHING, DOCTORS WILL ALWAYS TELL YOU TO COME IN FOR A MEETING IF THEY FIND SOMETHING INTERESTING ABOUT YOUR RESULTS....the trick is, that no matter how small or big the potential problem, they will always automatically say "come in"....if there was nothing wrong, they wouldnt have called at all.
